henna/Jagua

combination

Aftercare

  • Paste will take 30 minutes OR MORE to dry. Be careful not to smear. Jagua is VERY unforgiving and cannot be fixed if smeared.

  • Leave paste on skin for 4-12 hours. The longer your leave the paste on, the darker the stain will get and longer it will last.

-at least one hour for palms

-4 hours for back of hand, top of feet

-8 to 12 hours for chest, forearms, shoulders, legs

  • When removing paste, scrape it off (with your fingernails, credit card, butter knife, etc.) DO NOT WASH OFF.

  • After removing paste, keep water OFF paste for at least 8 hours. Wear a breathable piece of clothing over stain area when sleeping for the first night, otherwise the stain could transfer to your face. (Usually jagua would be washed off, but since there is henna in the design as well, we don’t recommend washing, as it could impede the henna stain)

  • Enjoy the stain progression of real henna/jagua made from the henna and jagua plants! Your stain will take 2-3 days to reach peak stain darkness.

  • BEFORE showering, bathing or swimming, apply oil or chapstick to stain to repel water. Avoid scrubbing. Minimize exposure to chlorine, bathing, steam rooms, and sweating.

  • VERY IMPORTANT to AVOID heat or steam in any form on the fresh stain for the first 48 hours (no hot tubs, tanning beds, saunas, etc.)

  • Post a photo/video and tag me @midnightmuseum on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Also, feel free to send me your stain photos, I love seeing my work out in the wild. :-)
